Stuffed Mushrooms

This is a great  hors d'oeuvre recipe - so great that, with a bottle of white wine, you can make a meal out of it.
 
   
Ingredients  
l pound medium fresh mushrooms
1/2 pound shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
fresh parsley
white wine
butter

 

Directions  
  1. Clean mushrooms, removing stems.  Dice up stems.
  2. Brown stems in 2 teaspoons butter; add 2 teaspoons chopped parsley.  Stir in Swiss cheese and bread crumbs.  Moisten mixture with white wine.
  3. Put mushrooms caps in flat baking dish (very lightly greased) and stuff with mixture.
  4. Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, till brown.  Take out and serve immediately. They are best when hot!
